Constitution and By-Laws of the Association of Liberian Shippers in the Diaspora, Inc. (ALSID Inc.)
Purpose
This Code of Conduct establishes the ethical standards and behavioral expectations for all members, officers, chapters, and affiliates of ALSID Inc. It serves as a covenant of professionalism, integrity, and collective responsibility to advance the mission of empowering diaspora shippers and reforming cross-border trade practices.
Mission Statement of ALSID
To unify, protect, and empower Liberian shippers across the global diaspora by establishing a structured, transparent, and accountable platform that champions equitable shipping practices, advocates for policy reforms, builds collaborative infrastructure, and fosters sustainable economic ties between diaspora communities and Liberia
Through strategic partnerships, legal representation, and collective action, ALSID is committed to transforming cross-border shipping from a vulnerable endeavor into a secure and thriving channel for national development and diaspora engagement
Vision Statement of ALSID
To build a globally unified and empowered community of Liberian diaspora shippers that drives transparent, efficient, and equitable trade with Liberia—transforming the shipping sector into a catalyst for national development, diaspora engagement, and economic justice.

The Association of Liberian Shippers in the Diaspora (ALSID)
1. Policy Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent members in formal dialogues with the Government of Liberia, including Customs, the Liberia Revenue Authority, and port authorities.
- Develop position papers and policy briefs to influence reform in customs procedures, shipping regulation, and trade agreements.
Forge strategic partnerships with diaspora organizations (e.g., LIBA-USA, Liberian Chambers of Commerce) to align advocacy efforts
